BIG NEWS — Across the Veil is now available!!!

Hi everyone –

I have exciting news to share…

I published my story, Across the Veil!!! This is the newly revised version of the story that won the Paranormal Fight Club contest on Romance in the Backseat’s Book Blog. It’s available as a .99 story on Amazon for your Kindle, and should turn up for all the other eReaders by next week.

Even if you don’t have an eReader yet, you can download Kindle’s PC app for free and read it just like a real book on your computer! J

I’ve also got a paperback version available on Lulu.com if you really want to hold it in your hand.

So here are the links…

 And the Blurb:

Princess Talia from Summerland has been hiding across the veil in the human world for the past five years.

Starring in a hit television show as human actress, Natalie Thurmont, her charmed new life is shattered when the past comes knocking on her door.

Across the Veil” won Romance in the Backseat book review’s Paranormal Fight Club short story contest. Short Fiction (6K Words)

I hope you enjoy the story! Putting this together was a labor of love and I learned SO much about self-publishing! Yow!

If you do enjoy the read, please leave some positive feedback on Amazon…  Those reader reviews definitely help to get the word out about indie stories!

I’m still busy editing the Forgotten Treasures anthology, and I’m hoping to have it available in April!

Thanks for all your support!!!  And feel free to spread the word and tell your friends… 🙂

Thanks Lisa!!! 🙂 It’s been a huge learning experience so far, but it feels great to know it’s out there and being a short story, eBooks seem to be a perfect fit…

Very exciting, Lisa! And that is a nice cover. Now I have to ask, is that your real hair or a wig? It’s very Cruella deVille-ish and very cool!

    1. Lisa Kessler March 16, 2011 at 6:09 pm

I’m so glad you like the cover!!! 🙂 I stressed about doing that myself big-time!

And sadly, it’s a wig… It’s all part of my glorious “Power-Suit”… LOL No one messes with Cruella, right? 😀

Thanks so much for stopping by to comment!!! Hope you enjoy the story!

    Lisa,

I’m thrilled to see that I can download your work without having an eReader. I happed across “Night Walker” in Book Country (reviewed it), and ZOMG … *THIS* is the kind of fiction I want to see on the shelves! Awesome. Simply awesome. I HAVE to read the rest of the story. I am Uber-picky about what I read, because as a writer myself, I don’t have too much free time. It’s rare that I come across an author that I get excited about.

Anyways, just wanted to let you know that you have a new fan!

(P.S. Graduated with a piano performance degree … love the references to music in your work.)

    1. Lisa Kessler March 17, 2011 at 9:08 pm

Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed Night Walker so far!!! I’m hoping it’ll find a publisher soon… *fingers crossed* And I’m a musician too so the musical aspect of the book was very important to me and I’m SO glad it carried through! 🙂

I hope you enjoy Across the Veil!!! Thanks for all your support and taking the time to come by and comment!!! You rock!

      Lisa 🙂

      1. Melissa (Lisa Marie) March 18, 2011 at 7:14 pm

        You rock more, LOL!

Seriously, you should charge WELL more than what you do for your book, Lisa. And I do mean that. *I* would have paid more. (Just something to consider in the future …)

I downloaded “Across the Veil” in PDF today. Can hardly wait to read it. Hope you don’t mind if I (eventually) link your blog to mine, once I get it officially up and running. 🙂

        1. Lisa Kessler March 18, 2011 at 7:36 pm

I only charged .99 for this one because it’s only 6,500 words… My Short story anthology will be a full-length book so I’ll charge 2.99 for that one…

Hopefully my novels will find a publisher and I’m sure those will have a higher selling price. I’m hoping with keeping the costs down more readers will find me so that when the books come out some people might grab copies… I hope? LOL

Thanks so much for buying Across the Veil!!! I hope you enjoy it!!!

And definitely let me know your blog link when you get it up and running and I’ll add you to my links too! Fun!

          Talk to you soon…

          Lisa 🙂
