Edits, Revisions & Six Sentence Sunday!

Hi Everyone –

I’m happy to report that my speaking engagement at the Oceanside Library for National Author Day went really well!!! Shew!!!

But even more exciting than that???

My Night Demon edits and revisions are going really well! I’m so excited about this book! Anyway, if you missed it on facebook, I’ve been posting about it, and since it’s Sunday, I thought I’d give you a tiny Six Sentence Sunday peek! (It’s actually more than 6 sentences, so Shhh! LOL)

Hope you enjoy the sneak peek…

Gretchen straightened up, her brow furrowed. “You need to look in a mirror, Lukas. Your life is not so bad. Why do you spend so much time and energy pushing everyone away?”

He shook his head, still staring out at the water. “This isn’t what I want.” He stood up and took her hand, sending a jolt of electricity through her body. His gaze demanded hers, and her breath caught in her throat at the hunger in his dark green eyes. “There are sins in my past that can never be forgiven, Gretchen. My only solace is to find answers. Anything beyond that, love, passion, it’s all an illusion for me.”

I love a good tortured hero and poor Lukas has lots of obstacles in his way… Not mention an ancient Mayan Demon!

Thanks for all the comments and support!!! It’s really exciting to hear from all of you… And if you haven’t read Night Walker yet, it’s really easy to grab a copy… http://www.entangledpublishing.com/night-walker/

Hee! It’s not so much regretting “all” the people he’s killed… More that he’ll never get the life he wanted… 🙂

Once you find your fairy tale, let me know! LOL

      Thanks for commenting Arianne!!! 🙂

Sounds like a great read, Lisa. I can’t wait to read Night Walker. It’s still on my TBR pile. I need to take a break from writing so I can catch up on my reading. I miss it! I’m keeping a close eye on all your great accomplishments. Congratulations, girl. You’re rocking it.

      Awww thanks Ciara!!! 🙂

My reading time is limited to my exercise bike and occassionally at lunch at work, so I totally understand… I still manage to squeeze in a little reading everyday or I’d go nuts though! LOL

I’ve got your novella on my TBR list too! 🙂

      Hi Sue!

It is the second book of the Night Series! Remember Lukas from one of the flash backs in Night Walker? He’s still around, and he’s the main hero of Night Demon…

Glad you enjoyed the 6 sentences! 🙂

    OOOHHH!!!!
I’m so excited to meet Lukas, tho I am hoping that my dear Calisto is in there somewhere.
And I LOVE that picture, when I see him I just remember Practical Magic. That’s one awesome movie.

    1. Lisa Kessler November 7, 2011 at 9:08 am

      Hi Kayleigh!

Yes, Calisto is defintiely in Night Demon… I think he makes his first appearance in Chapter 7 and then he’ll be involved on the side until the end of the book… 🙂

Wasn’t Practical magic a greeat movie! I actually fell in love with this actor on the television show, ER! He has the most amazing melt your heart eyes… YUM!

So I’m enjoying writing Lukas’ story! He’s been so tortured for so long it’s great to finally give him a Happily Ever After… 🙂
