It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hi Everyone –

I can’t believe Christmas is two weeks from today! (It’s still Sunday night for me! LOL)

Sorry I’ve been MIA from my own blog, but when you’re a singer, Christmastime = Sing-time. Plus this year my son, Reno, is following in the family tradition and singing quite a bit himself! Between his performances and mine our December calendar is a little overwhelming!

But I do have news to share… My blog will be “Hopping” this week with not one, but TWO blog hops, both boasting fabulous prizes, so keep your eye out for the blog notices so you can comment to win some Christmas goodies! Fun!

And here’s another bit of news…

My new short story anthology, Forgotten Treasures, is almost available!!! J

Word 2010 is giving me conniptions at the moment, but we’re very close to having it ready for print and eBook!

YAY!!! You can add it to your to-read list on Goodreads now…

There are 25 stories ranging from Horror and Fantasy, to Sci-fi and Romance! About 250 pages of short story fun…

And speaking of your Goodreads to-read list…. Have you added Night Demon yet?

I got my edits turned in and I’m hoping I’ll have a release date for you soon…

This book really expands the Night Walker world. You’ll meet the original four Night Walker brothers, and a Mayan Demon you won’t soon forget.

As with Night Walker, the history and mythology in the book is real, I just gave it a paranormal twist…

And isn’t this cover amazing??? Love it!!! *fanning self*

I’ve still got Christmas Blog Hops to write, Christmas cards to get together, and let’s not even talk about how much Christmas shopping I have left to do… Yikes!

So what’s keeping you busy this time of year?

Lisa

Hi, Lisa! Like you, so much is keeping me busy this time of year, but it’s a great kind of busy. I don’t even want to think about how it’ll get even busier next week, when the out of town guests begin to arrive… I hope your holiday is filled with merriment, music, and family. Cheers!

Oh you have out of town guests coming in too??? Poor thing!!! *HUGS*

But as busy as it gets, isn’t the day after Christmas a day full of warm-fuzzies while you reflect on all the wonderful new memories… I love the holidays even though they wear me out! LOL

Can’t wait for Night Demon, but good things come to those who wait… just not too long of a wait 😉 I have some time on my hands, but it still doesn’t feel like enough. I honestly have only myself to worry about for the next couple of months with no obligations other than my regular work day, but then I enforce my own work hours afterward for reading, plotting, writing and revising. I try to stick to a schedule, but then next thing I know it’s 2 am and I have to get up in three hours. I don’t know how you do it !!!

BTW, is it bad that I want to lick the covers?

    1. Lisa Kessler December 12, 2011 at 10:15 pm

Thanks Angela!!! I can’t wait for Night Demon to go out into the world! I love the way the book turned out and the Night Walker world really grows in this one… 🙂 So fun!

And I’m not sure how I do it either… I was really dragging my tail this weekend though! Yeesh!!! Sleep is highly overrated, right? LOL

Hope you have a great holiday season!!!

      Thanks for commenting!!!

      Lisa 🙂

PS – Nothing wrong with wanting to lick the covers… Just cover them in plastic wrap first! LOL

I still need to do my Christmas shopping also Lisa 🙂 Happy Holidays

Hi Lisa, well let’s see, Christmas parties, trying to finish edits on a book by the end of the month, blogging, full time job and somehow finding time to spend time with a friend that’s moving away. Oh yeah, I still am super behind on my gift shopping too. It’s a busy life, but it’s still so much fun! Love your post, learned some neat things about you. Happy Christmas lady!

How exciting about the short story book and Night Demon! I will be sure to add them to my to read on Goodreads. I LOVE your short stories! 🙂

I am so behind this season. You know what a Christmas fanatic I am, but I don’t even have the tree up or the house decorated yet. I’ve been working on organizing and shelving my 3000+ books and it’s a huge job! Hopefully, we will have the trees up and everything decorated by Friday. Otherwise, I’m going to be very upset. 🙁

    Merry Christmas!
