Hey everyone –

I have some super exciting news to share…

Those of you who know me, and have followed my blogs, know how many years I toiled, trying to find a publisher to take a chance on Night Walker…

Every good review that has come in and every email I get from readers completely makes my day! 

But seeing my book with “Night Owl Reviews TOP PICK”  next to it has reduced me to happy tears…

When I wrote Night Walker, it blended contemporary paranormal romance with history and religion.  Although many agents and publishers requested the full manuscript, I ended up with a bunch of passes until I finally set the book aside. 

I couldn’t handle one more heartbreak.

When I submitted to Entangled, I only submitted Night Walker because my
other series was in the RT Writing with the Stars contest so I was under
contract not to submit it anywhere else. 

My hubby encouraged me to send Night Walker out one last time.

I’m so glad I did!!!  And I’m so grateful to my publisher for believing in
my book… *sniffle*

Seeing “Top Pick” feels like redemption.  Getting my book published was the toughest goal I’ve ever achieved, and it has been worth the struggle.

I wanted to share this with all of you, and to my friends out there who write every day and are still looking for a publisher, my advice is this…

Never ever give up. 

Even when the world seems to be telling you you’re not good enough, keep going.

Hit send one last time.

    I see you. You’re doing the happy dance with tears in your eyes and saying, “nah, nah”, to all the publishers who wouldn’t take the book. Well deserved.

    Lisa, awesome post. Honestly, there was a time when I tried to convince myself I could be happy without writing fiction. But I don’t know if I ever could give up, as hard as this industry can be, because the person I am and so much of my soul are wrapped up in storytelling. And I’m SO GLAD that you didn’t give up and your book is now out in the world. Here’s to many more!

      I’m super glad I didn’t give up on the book of my heart too!!! This is a super tough industry and when so many people tell you they can’t figure out how to market your book, you do start to doubt yourself… It’s so hard to keep hope alive…
