Six Sentence Sunday – Live from the Edit Cave

Hi everyone –

I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving!!! It’s been a crazy weekend around my house, but I’m super excited with my Night Demon revisions. Woot! And speaking of Night Demon, it’s up on Goodreads now so you can add it to your to-read list! YAY!

It’s also the final two days to vote for Night Walker for the iBookBuzz Book of the Month!!! It’s a super close race so Calisto would love your support! J

And here’s a little bit more than 6 sentences from Night Demon. If you’re not familiar with my Night Walkers, they can shape shift into their spirit animal. Lukas’ spirit animal is a Great Horned Owl…

Lukas reached up to cup her cheek. “We’ve got to get you back to the Jeep before the sun comes up.”

Gretchen nodded. “Agreed. So how do we get there?”

“We fly.”

Gretchen jumped back from him so fast, he almost flinched. “No. Way. No way.” She rubbed her hands up her arms while looking out at the water. “You are not suggesting what I think you are.” She glanced over at him with panic in her eyes. “You’re not seriously thinking you’re going to fly me over there yourself.”

Lukas took a step toward her, trying to get her to meet his gaze. He knew she didn’t like flying, but he had no idea her fear bordered on a phobia. “We don’t have time for anything else, Gretchen. You know I would sooner die than see you hurt. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

“But you can’t die. Big difference. I’m all kinds of fragile, remember?” She faced the waves again. “No way. I can’t do this. Impossible.”

Lukas closed the distance between them and pulled her into his arms. Holding her close, he whispered into her hair. “I swear I will not let you fall. I will never let you fall.”

I can’t wait for you to meet Lukas… and Gretchen

I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek, and thanks so much for all your support for my series!!! You’re the best!

*now back to the edit cave…Almost….Done!*

Lukas seemed a bit… older in that picture… And Gretchen much younger.. Then again, Lukas IS centuries old right? Ah, okay.. I’m gonna crawl into a cave now.

Hee! This is just who I picture… You’re allowed to make them whoever you want when you read the book… 🙂 Lukas is centuries old though and Gretchen in in her 30’s…

      Thanks for commenting Arianne!!!

      Lisa 🙂
